Anyway, lets crack on with today's training...

Part 1: Getting Your Root Keyword

So the first thing you need to do is generate some keywords to work with.
You'll be using a free website called KeywordTool.io.
Once you're at KeywordTool.io, click on "Youtube" and enter your most broadest keyword.

So for example, if you're in the weight loss market, you would use "weight loss".

keyword
Right then, you should be presented with a huge list of keywords to work with that people are actively searching for... Awesome.

Part 2: Using
VidIQ to gauge keyword competition
The next step is to download VidIQ - you only need the free version.
You can download it right here: https://vidiq.com/
You will then need to install it on Chrome and then give VidIQ access to your Youtube account.
Once done, head over to Youtube.
Starting from the top, copy the first related keyword from the list you generated using KeywordTool.io.
(The keyword has to match the topic of your video (although, you can quickly edit the video to match the topic keyword if you want - your call, really))

                                                                                keyword
Then paste the keyword in to the search bar on the Youtube homepage and then hit enter. Hopefully, you should see VidIQ keyword explorer on the right displaying important analytical data:
                                                                                 weigh loss
You then need to assess the data to determine whether the keyword is worth ranking for  - easy peasy to do, but let me explain anyways!
Volume - how much traffic that particular keyword gets per month on Youtube.
Competition - how hard or easy it will be to rank for that particular keyword.
Overall score - an overall assessment of whether or not that keyword is worth ranking for.
If the keyword score is 60 or better, then save that keyword on your notepad.
Keep rinsing and repeating this method until you have gone through the entire list on KeywordTool.io

Part 3: Using Youtube To Get Long-Tail Keywords

Once you've done that, you need to logout of your Youtube before doing the following steps...

This is because a logged in account will show you personalised results... Which we don't want.

Okay, what we need to do now is to pick a keyword from your notepad list you made in the last step and put it in Youtube's search bar.

And instead of hitting "enter" to bring up the search results, press "space bar" instead.

Once you've done that, you should see something like this:

So what are we seeing here, huh?

Well, this is what you call Youtube's Search Suggester (Google search as one too).

And when you enter your keyword, Youtube's gonna suggest other keyword phrases.

Now here's the thing...

Youtube puts the most searched keywords after your keyword at the top.

And as you go down the suggester list, the less searches the keywords get.

So what you want to do is use these keywords for your title, description and tags

So in my example, here's what I would do in this instance.

For my title, I would have something like:

"How to lose weight fast for women in a week at home - works for over 30, 40 and 50 year olds"

Notice how I've got the top few keywords in there along with my main keyword?

When you do this in your Youtube title, you'll rank for dozens of other keywords as well.

And for your tags, I would use:
Once again - notice I'm using the suggester to find tags for my videos?

This is because you'll start to show up for these keywords and dozens of variations of these keywords, as well.

Okay then, this is what I want you to do next:

1. I want you to complete today's training by finding a keyword using KeywordTool.io using the criteria in part 2.

2. Then using Youtube suggester, I want you to use it to write a "keyword rich" title and use it to get the tags for your video too.

Once you've done that, you'll be ready to rock and roll when tomorrow's training hit's your inbox.

So what cool funky stuff will I be teaching you tomorrow, eh?

Well, you're gonna be publishing your video and I'll be sharing a very powerful method you can use to rank your video in the search results and start getting traffic and sales in just a matter of days.

Trust me, once you do this... The money is going to be rolling in, I'm tellin' ya :-)
